'24 - '25 Tryout Information

For those of you trying out for the '23-'24 school year, here are some things you need to know:
 
  1. Pre-Tryout Meeting for MS, JV, & V is Thursday Feb 29th @ 5:30pm in the cafeteria
  2. Optional Clinic: Wed. March 13 - Fri. March 15
  3. Mandatory Evaluations: Sat. March 16
  4. Fill out these forms:
    1. Cheer Expectations Sheet 
    2. Cheer Survey filled out through this link: Cheer Survey '24-'25
    3. Dragonfly paperwork, which includes STAR Sportsmanship (marked as complete for "Tryout 23" or 2023-2024 School Year)
    4. Tryout Fee paid online through this link: Cheer Tryout Payment Link '24-'25 
  5. You also need to make sure you are enrolled at McGill for the '23-'24 school year
Failure to have the abive criteria fulfilled will prohibit you from participating in the optional critique days & mock try-out on Wed 3/15 - Fri 3/17 or tryouts on Sat 3/18. The moment you get all paperwork turned-in/completed, you will be able to participate, so make sure you get it in before the start of critiques on Wed 3/15 (or even better, get it in BEFORE Fri 3/10)

REMEMEBR that Wednesday & Thursday are critiques & material review... these days are optional but very helpful in learning the correct material for tryouts, as well as getting tips from the '23-'24 seniors. Keep in mind that the videos have a front and back view of the material, but all material will be shown at tryouts facing forward the entire time (minus parts of the dance).

Please pay your $20 tryout fee with the link on the left. There is no other option to pay this fee.
 
CHEER CAMP for V/JV is set for July 29 - Aug 1 @ LSU in Baton Rouge, LA.
 
MS Cheer Camp is still in the works, but we are looking at June 3 - 5.
