KEY STEPS
Step 1: Complete Your Application Online
- Applications open on November 3, 2025
- New McT parents will create an account with PowerSchool Enrollment
- Existing McT parents will login with their parent PowerSchool Enrollment account to add their incoming freshman
- Priority consideration will be given to those applications submitted by December 31, 2025
Step 2: Visit Us
- All 8th-grade students who attend one of our Catholic Partner Schools will attend our Preview Day on Tuesday, November 6, 2025 from 9:00 AM - noon. As part of Preview Day, we will hold a special informational session for parents at 9:30 AM in the gym, followed by campus tours led by our Student Ambassadors.
- Parents unable to attend Preview Day may attend one of our “Mornings at McT” sessions or schedule a personal tour.
Step 3: High School Placement Test
- The Placement Test is a required checklist item for all 8th-grade applicants to attend McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. The test will be administered at each of our Catholic Partner Schools on a date determined by the school.
Step 4: Apply for Tuition Assistance
- All families are eligible to apply for Tuition Assistance. General Scholarship applications open in November, 2025. Priority will be given to those applications submitted by December 31, 2025.
- Catholic students are welcome to apply for the St. Augustine Scholarship program. This application has a firm deadline of December 31, 2025.
- Applications for the CHOOSE Act will open in early January, 2026.
Step 5: Admissions Decisions
- Acceptance packets will be mailed mid-February 2025. Students who have a complete application on file by the end of January 2026 will be considered for admission to the Class of 2030.
Step 6: Freshmen Registration
- Accepted students will be invited to our Freshmen Registration event which will be held on assigned dates and times in March 2026. Students and their families will meet with a Guidance Counselor to make course selections.
