Attendance, Class Rules and Keys to Success
Attendance is extremely important to success in a foreign language. When you come to class, remember that you have to come on these terms:
- You are expected to participate and cooperate fully and actively
- We work as a class
- Arrive on time and be seated before the tardy bell rings
- Use class time for Spanish work only
- Bring all materials to class everyday
- Let the teacher know when you need additional help or explanations
- Maintain high expectations for yourself
- Follow all school rules and procedures in this class
- You are not allowed to use online translators. This is considered plagiarism and will result in a "0" on the assignment.
- Extra credit work: the only extra credit that I give is for Spanish Mass attendance once a quarter and attendance at the 2 Hispanic festivals that occur in Mobile. Proof of attendance at these functions will be required from the parent.
Make-up Work
When absent, it is the students’ responsibility to get the missing assignment(s). The teacher is absolved of any responsibility for the student's negligence in this matter and will record a "0" grade for each assignment missed during the absence if student does not make arrangements with the teacher. Refer to the Student Handbook for the time allowed for make-up work and missed tests.
