Foreign Language

The foreign language department believes that language is an essential part of one's education. Since all education must proceed from language competency, and since the use of language, both oral and written, is the means by which we understand our common human experiences, as well as a means by which we gain pleasure, it is essential that the study of languages be a cornerstone of the educational process. Students are offered the opportunity to study three foreign languages: Spanish, Latin, and French. Foreign language courses are open to students at all grade levels provided the student has met the criteria for the course as stated in the following descriptions.
