Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is designed to lay the foundation for future mathematics and science courses.  This course begins with expressions, equations and functions, and then moves on to linear equations. From there, linear functions are studied, which is followed by equations of linear functions, linear inequalities, systems of both linear equations and inequalities. After that, exponents and exponential functions are studied, followed by quadratic expressions and equations, quadratic functions and equations, radical functions and geometry, rational functions and equations, and statistics and probability.
