Painting I
Course Description
Students will create works of art from observation and from photographs applying the elements and principles of design. They will use acrylic paint, watercolor, oil pastels and mixed media on several different art surfaces. The students will be introduced to art history and the artist that influenced different techniques and styles in painting.
Supply List: Supplies may be purchased at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target and Alabama Art
Acrylic paint in 4oz. tubes: No acrylic paint in squeeze bottles.
Cadmium red
Cobalt blue
Cadmium yellow
Ivory black
Titanium white
Yellow ochre
Raw sienna
You may purchase additional colors if you like.

Acrylic paint brush set: at least 3 different size brushes
Plastic container, Rubbermaid take alongs 9x13 are perfect for storing paint and brushes.
