Prayers During the Day

Over the Intercom / Whole School: 

  • Morning Offering - In this prayer we offer ourselves and our day to the Lord. Before 1st period every day.

  • The Angelus & Grace Before Meals - The Angelus is prayed in the Catholic Church throughout the entire world daily at 6 AM, Noon, and 6 PM -- we join in prayer with the Universal Church by praying this announcement of Christ’s Incarnation before lunch (almost noon). Immediately following the Angelus, we will pray the Grace before Meals, offering thanks to God and asking Him to bless us and the meal we’re about to partake in.

 

  • The Act of Contrition - We close our day with this prayer of repentance asking the Lord to forgive us for the times we’ve moved away from Him in our actions, thoughts, or words; and implore His Divine help to avoid sin and the near occasion of it.
  • A prayer from the Divine Mercy Chaplet: at the conclusion of each of our intercom-led prayers we add on this short prayer for the lives lost to abortion and for an end to this practice in our community, nation, and world. The prayer: For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
