Office Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and by appointment
The Guidance Office is a service department which
- Provides assistance to the entire McGill-Toolen Catholic High School community–students, teachers, parents, administrators and feeder schools.
- Acts as liaison between school and various organizations, agencies and groups.
- Works with students in areas of academics, personal-social concerns and educational/vocational planning.
- Sees students individually and in small groups both at the student’s initiation and at the counselor’s initiation.
- Hosts representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools, armed services and business schools who are available for consultation by students.
- Offers students the opportunity to form a confidential bond with a counselor professionally trained to help high school aged youth navigate adolescence.
- Assists school in building community within a given class and within the school.
- Assists students in maximizing potential for their present and future growth.
