SCRIP is a fund raiser that is convenient, easy and costs you NO
EXTRA MONEY! You DO NOT sell anything and you only purchase the
products that you want. When you purchase SCRIP, you receive the
full face value of the dollar amount that you order from each vendor.
McGill's profit comes from the discount amount that retailers agree
to sell us the gift certificates or prepaid cards.
Here's how it works - each participating family earns rebates
for the school through their purchase of gift cards and gift certificates
for various local and national vendors. The first $100 rebate earned
goes to the school; all further profit is split 50/50 with the family
in the form of tuition credit. The school is responsible for tracking
each family's earned credit. When you purchase SCRIP, you are purchasing
negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used by
LOCAL and NATIONAL vendors just like CASH. You can use SCRIP to
purchase the household items that you use every week like GROCERIES,
GAS, CLOTHING and ENTERTAINMENT (restaurants, video rentals, etc.)
With every SCRIP purchase, you earn revenue not only for McGill,
but also for your family in the form of TUITION CREDIT.
All SCRIP orders must be received in the Student Activities Office no later than 9:00 am on Mondays and will be ready for pick up on Thursday afternoon by 2:00 pm. Please contact Brother Paul Mulligan, SCRIP Coordinator at (251) 445-4740 or by email.
