McGill Institute Class of ’41
Carl “Red” McFarlane joined the U.S. Marines shortly after his graduation from McGill Institute. He spent four years in the South Pacific.
He attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and opened a mortuary in South Lake Tahoe, CA in 1967. After retiring in 1986, he moved to Hanford, CA to get out of the snow and to raise sheep and pigmy goats for a hobby on a small ranch.
He and his wife of 50 years, Angelina, have eight children: Michael, Bernadette, Daniel, Kathleen, Carla, Mary, Patrick and Thomas. They have 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
